Job Description: 
Responsible for: assisting with activities, monthly activity calendar, clerical duties as assigned, maintaining monthly Quality Assurance and Quality Improvement reports, monthly audits on the All-Call monitor system, mail pickup and delivery, updating neighbor’s information, housekeeping tasks, maintenance tasks, or dietary tasks when needed, perform routine, repetitive tasks on a continuous basis assigned by the Director. 

Essential Job Functions:
Essential job functions include assisting in Legacy Suites with activities, clerical tasks, monitoring all-call system, reports for the department, and when necessary help with housekeeping, maintenance, and dietary services. 

To ensure quality care, services, and documentation on the neighbors at Legacy Suites by performing various duties – 85%

• Reports to Director of Legacy Suites.
• Assist when there is an absence in the department.
• Problem solving skills.
• Need to have excellent communication skills both verbal and written.
• Assist in clerical tasks as needed.
• Assist with tours and providing information about Legacy Suites.
• Organize activities and monthly calendar.
• Assist with reporting Quality Assurance and Quality Improvement monthly.
• Responsible for monthly All-Call system checks.
• Assist the Director to ensure neighbors are accounted for.
• Assist with mail pick-up and delivery.
• Assist with neighbor medication pick-up and delivery.
• Assist updating neighbor’s information.
• Assist with housekeeping, maintenance, and dietary areas when needed.
• Will follow policies and procedures.
• Will maintain confidentiality and adhere to HIPAA regulations
• May be subject to other duties as assigned.

Continuous Professional Development – 15%

• Maintains professional growth and development through seminars and workshops to keep abreast of latest trends for Independent Living programs and working with the senior population.
• Participates in hospital meetings and services organizations as required.

Position Specifications

Qualification Requirements:

Education and/or Experience:
High School Diploma: Or Equivalent Required

Experience: 
Previous experience or knowledge with working with the senior population, clerical skills a must, along with written and verbal communication skills.

Registrations: 
Certified Nursing Aide preferred but not required

Reasoning Abilities:
The ability to carry out detailed written and/or verbal instructions. Have the ability to solve problems by using concrete variables in standardized situations. Ability to define problems, investigate the situation, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions.

Temperament:
Must be friendly, helpful, and exhibit professionalism at all times 

Working Conditions:
• Subject to many interruptions
• Working with different personalities and behaviors.
• May be exposed to toxic chemicals and medical equipment.
