Satanta Senior Outreach Program

The Heritage Program for Senior Adults is an outpatient program for older adults who suffer from emotional and physical problems due to change of environment, loss of independence, or loss of a loved one. We strive to provide quality care that stresses the importance of dignity, respect, confidentiality and helping each individual to achieve an optimal level of functioning. Emotional problems decrease the ability to cope with the natural aging process and the Heritage Program addresses these problems with group therapy, individual therapy and/or family therapy. We work on coping skills, grief and loss resolution, communication, conflict resolution, stress management and assertiveness training, as well as education on medication management and health and wellness training.

We provide group therapy 5 days a week, and 3 groups per day. We serve Haskell, Grant, Stevens, Seward and Finney counties. Medicare and Medicaid, as well as most private insurance plans are accepted to cover treatment fees.

Located in the basement of the Satanta District Hospital and anyone is welcome to come and visit and ask questions, or call 620-649-2135 to ask any questions or set up a meeting with a Heritage Program staff member.
