Satanta District Hospital and Long Term Care Unit is dedicated to providing quality health care and related services sufficient to meet the needs and expectations of the citizens of Haskell County and the surrounding area.
The Satanta District Hospital is a tax-supported organization, organized in 1952 for the purpose of providing health care services. A 5-member elected Board of Trustees governs Satanta District Hospital.
Our medical staff consists of two full-time, in house physicians, Dr. Juvenal Jabel and Dr. Virgil Taduran, along with one full-time in house Nurse Practitioner Ms. Myrna Gumpenberger. A full-time certified physician assistant also provides care at Satanta District Hospital, Ms Robin Williamson and a part-time certified physician assistant Mr. Mike Wawrzewski. Furthermore, the facility has a vast resource of consulting physicians in many areas of specialty.
